Results
St David’s College is delighted to announce an outstanding set of GCSE and BTEC Level 2 results from our year 11 group. Our pupils have shown resilience and commitment and have earned the results to prove it. 96.97% of St David’s pupils achieved 5 or more GCSEs & BTEC Level 2 at A*-C or the equivalent, with 34.6% of grades awarded being A* - A or the equivalent.

St David’s College is proud to report an outstanding set of A-Level and BTEC Level 3 results from our year 13 group this Summer. Despite the background of a second year of COVID disruption, our pupils have achieved a 100% pass rate across all Level 3 qualifications with an outstanding 51.5% of grades awarded being A* - A or Distinction* - Distinction.

Brother and Sister, Sean Davies (year 10) and Cerys Davies (year 7) competed in the Welsh Age Groups in Caerphilly this weekend. Both achieved some fantastic Personal Bests.

A new school year means a new Head Girl and Head Boy. Sophie Hunt and Zachary Valentine met with Mr. Russell on their first day back in school and were presented with their school prefect ties. We took the time to sit down with them and chat about what it means to them to hold such prestigious positions at St David’s, their plans for the upcoming year, and what legacy they hope to leave behind.
Today saw the return of our annual Year 12 Leadership Day.
At the end of last term, Rev. Tim Hall stepped down as school Chaplain after an extraordinary 50 years' service to St David’s College. He says he’s always been fond of a project and has found a new one developing a beautiful garden close to the school’s moat.

This weekend saw the return of the Welsh Schools Ski Championships in Llangrannog, Ceredigion. Schools from across the country sent teams to compete in the Primary and Senior schools’ competitions.

Llandudno’s most famous residents paid an unexpected visit to St David's College this week.
Over the summer we were lucky to hear from former St David’s College pupil, Chris Macdonald who attended St David’s between 2010 and 2014. Since leaving us Chris has used the skills, he learned with our incredible Outdoor Education department to take him all over the world including a mega journey on a Stand Up Paddleboard from Mallorca to Ibiza and kayaking down the Zambezi River in Africa.

Well, that’s that. The pupils have all gone home and the teaching staff are off for a well-earned Christmas break. Tryfan house captain Deanna Craven has been busy helping to organise the school’s Christmas Fayre. She has organised Science and Music stalls and even a Fair Trade chocolate fountain.
Today saw the long-awaited return of the St David’s College Carol Service. This year St David’s returned to our regular venue at St Paul’s Church, Craig y Don, Llandudno.
Arwen Fflur headed out to France this week to compete in Match racing regatta The Bedanne Cup, again as part of Team Athena, racing keelboats. She headed off for a week of competition that will put her skills to the test.
