Keith retired as the Bishop of Birkenhead in 2021. Initially, he qualified as a solicitor in 1980 before getting ordained in 1984. He served his curacy in Birmingham (where he was also chaplain in the Children’s hospital). He was Vicar of Aston (1988-2001) and then Holy Trinity Coventry (2001-2007). He has been on several school governing bodies, including Chair of Governors at Bishops High School Chester (2008-2015) during which time he was also Chair of the Diocesan Board of Education. He joined the Board at St David’s in 2017.
