We hope you enjoyed our beautiful Carol Service held at St Paul’s Church, in Craig y Don.
The last time parents were allowed to attend was in 2019 because of
Covid restrictions, and so this years’ service promised to be an extra special
one.
The service kicked off in a true traditional style with “Once in Royal
David’s City”, and we even had a boy soprano!
The school choir set the tone with the carol “Joy to the World”, and our
Junior Choir sang “The Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy” in a ‘Calypso’ style.
“I’m was really looking forward to the Carol Service, a lot of
staff and pupils were involved and the choir is now 30 strong,” said Hannah
Cox, Head of Music.
“This year the school orchestra and school band played, and we had a few soloists.”
She added: “There’s a lot of talent in this school, the pupils always surprise me with what they can do.
“I’m hoping everyone enjoyed it and came out feeling full of festive cheer.”
The collection taken at the service will go to Hope Restored in Llandudno, a charity that helps the homeless.
The school is now closed for the Christmas Holidays. From all of us here at St David's College, we hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
