Prefects’ Christmas Hamper Raffle
Our school prefects spent this Wednesday evening putting together some very lovely Christmas hampers last night for the PTA Christmas Raffle that is taking place after our school Carol Service.
Much like the ‘Generation Game’, groups of prefects created a hamper each, arranging the festive treats donated by SDC parents with care and creativity! There was fierce competition for the ‘best bow’ (we discovered how difficult it is to make the perfect bow!) There were so many donations that they managed to fill eight hampers to the brim!
The prefect team has also gratefully received donations as raffle
prizes from many local businesses. A big thank you to Fortes, Johnny Doughs,
Clogau, North Menswear, About You Boutique, Luna Flower, The Looking Glass Ice
Cream Parlour, The Lavender Room, Petticoat Lane, The Empire Hotel, The Osborne
Hotel, The Body Shop, Providero, Habit Tearooms and The Gift Company. It has
been a great opportunity for our prefects to connect and correspond with local
businesses.
This year’s prefect team is hoping that they have started a legacy
that will continue every year. Year 12 - get practicing your bow tying
skills!
