Last Sunday saw almost every single border, and a good number of day pupils representing their house in this year's 'House Orienteering' event.
Based around the extensive school grounds and surrounding hillside, the pupils had exactly one hour to find as many of the hidden markers as possible. Operating in pairs, the competitors had to mark down where the markers were located and then decide on the best possible route to find them all. Known as a 'Score Event' this allows both fitness and cunning to be employed to finish with the highest score.
Over 70 pupils took on the cold weather as they set out into the grounds on their chosen route. A strong and speedy performance from the Tryfan 6th form girls saw them in as the fastest overall pair and with the maximum number of points collected. Once everyone had returned to base and the scores carefully calculated, Tryfan were announced this years winners, with Cader and Snowdon trailing close behind. Great sporting scenes, fun and friendship on a wintery afternoon! Well done everyone who took part.
