The inaugural competition was held last year, and Jess Kavanagh, St David’s PE teacher and the tournament organiser , said it was "fantastic to see how the girls had developed their rugby skills over the past year"
“We had an amazing day, it was all good vibes, and everything ran so smoothly,” said Ms Kavanagh.
“I’d like to congratulate Llangefni who won the cup after beating Bala school Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn, they took it at the last play of the game.”
There were 11 teams and the St David’s girls team came in a respectable sixth place, and according to Jess had played brilliantly throughout the tournament.
A pupil from Ysgol Creuddyn messaged Ms Kavanagh to say: “Had the best day, well done to all the teams that participated in the games.” She added she couldn’t wait to come to next year’s competition.
The referee later messaged to say: “I had an amazing day. So much talent, great skills, and the enjoyment everyone brought in-the future is bright!”
Well done Ms Kavanagh, and to the St David’s Girls Under 14 girls and to everyone who competed. We'll see you next year!
