The military aircraft have been rehearsing over the skies in Lincolnshire for the UK’s first Coronation in 70 years
FLT Lt. Owen who serves with the 47 Squadron at RAF Brize Norton, will be piloting one of the world’s most iconic planes, the C-130 Hercules during the flypast.
He commented: “It's an honour to be part of such a high-profile event.”
The Red Arrows and the full Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be among other aircraft taking part in the celebrations.
The coronation flypast will follow the King’s Coronation parade at 2.30pm, and millions across the globe will be watching.
Headmaster Andrew Russell said: “I am so proud of all our pupils who move into careers that they have dreamt of. It will be super to watch the Coronation, knowing that an Old Davidean is a huge part of its success.”
Lloyd also plays for the prestigious RAF Rugby 7’s Spitfires.
Good luck Lloyd! All of us at St David’s College will be cheering you on.
