The Swimming Gala made a huge splash with its welcome return last night following a four-year hiatus.
It was wonderful to be back in the warm climes of Llandudno Swimming Pool with all three houses vying for the Swimming Cup.
The evening is often an exuberant affair and this one was no different, with around half of the pupils and parents never attending the swimming gala before but soon got into the swing of things.
Headmaster Andrew Russell led the proceedings with his commentary and said at the end: “It’s great to be back, and hearing everyone cheering including for their opponents shows excellent sportsmanship.”
“Well done everybody, and thanks to the staff who have helped organise such a great event.”
Congratulations to the victors Cader House! Tryfan came in second place and Snowdon were third, despite catching up on points during some very exciting swimming relays.
We’ll see you back poolside next year!
