This year's House Cross-Country event was an exceptional showcase of talent and team spirit

After a few days of wet weather, the sun came out just in time, giving us perfect running conditions, on our stunning cross-country course—soft underfoot with a refreshing breeze in the afternoon.

Pupils from every year group were eager to represent their houses, giving their all to earn those valuable points. The atmosphere was electric, with housemasters delivering inspiring team talks and a great turnout of supportive parents cheering from the sidelines.

The competition was fierce, and there were some close finishes. Impressively, **three school records** were shattered in the Year 5&6 boys, Year 5&6 girls, and Year 7 boys categories. Here are the winners from each age group:

*Year 5&6 Boys*– Austin (Snowdon)

*Year 5&6 Girls* – Grace (Cader)

*Year 7 Boys* – Toby (Tryfan)

*Year 7&8 Girls* – Gracie (Cader)

*Year 8&9 Boys* – Alex (Tryfan)

*Year 9&10 Girls* – Phoebe (Cader)

*Year 10&11 Boys* – Charlie (Snowdon)

*Year 12&13 Boys* – Arun (Snowdon)

*Year 11-13 Girls* – Amelie (Cader)

**Cader House** took home the overall victory, while **Tryfan** earned bonus points for the highest participation, showing outstanding house spirit.

The atmosphere was buzzing as runners crossed the finish line, with enthusiastic support from the coffee horse box, Dr. Hughes, and the rhythmic beats of the Tryfan house drum fuelling the energy at the finish line.

This was a fantastic start to the whole school house sports competitions, and a huge congratulations goes to all the competitors.

Well done, everyone!
