After arriving at our hotel, we enjoyed a delicious lunch, followed by a relaxing afternoon of exploring the hotel, swimming, and even a friendly table tennis competition

That evening, Mrs. Kavanagh organised a lively game of bingo, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

The following day, we were treated to a beautiful sunset and lovely weather. We kicked off the day with a brilliant training session led by the coaches from the Manchester Thunder Netball Academy.

The girls focused on passing and movement techniques to sharpen their skills. In the afternoon, we headed to the Adventure Amazonia Park, where everyone got to test their courage on thrilling zip lines and climbing courses.

Friday was dedicated to netball matches. In the morning, the coaches worked with the girls on match play and fine-tuning core skills. During the afternoon, all teams played exceptionally well in a round-robin tournament, with the Year 10 team emerging victorious thanks to their strong teamwork, defensive play, and precise shooting.

Saturday brought us more matches against two local club teams. Our girls rose to the challenge, winning overall and demonstrating the skills they had been practicing. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely outing in Puerto Banus, exploring the shops and taking in the sights. That evening, we gathered for a special presentation ceremony to celebrate the tour’s highlights.

On our final day, the girls participated in one last training session before spending the afternoon relaxing in the sun. We wrapped up the tour with a pizza night, then headed to the airport for our flight home, bringing back wonderful memories of our netball adventure in Malaga.

Year 11 captain Olivia said: “I thought that the tour was so much fun and that the coaching was great, we all learnt so much from the sessions.

“Besides the netball, the activities like the treetops was really good and everyone enjoyed it.”

She added: “I loved every bit of the tour and would definitely go again for the team bonding and experience. I would also like to thank Mrs Jones and the other staff for taking us’.

A huge thank you to our generous sponsors, SF Parks and Clogau Gold, for providing support for the netball hoodies. These hoodies were a big hit with the girls, giving them a unified and polished look throughout the tour. Thank you as well to the players for their enthusiasm and commitment, both in training and in the matches, as well as in all the activities along the way.

Thanks to PE Teacher Mrs Elle Jones for the lovely write-up.
